Greetings!
Greetings and love from a healty warm Sweden. It is really fascinating how the sun pacifies people and make us all feel better in this part of the world. ZionGuide.net is back, stronger than ever. After having dealt with various side projects; Starting Clubs in Africa and Sweden, arranging gigs and shooting a music video we're now here with full focus on covering one of the greatest happenings in the northern hemisphere… or at least northern europe… Uppsala Reggae Festival have turned ten years and celebrates this with inviting some of the best acts during the last nine years.

Who doesn't remember Misty In Roots legendary performance some years ago at URF? With conscious lyrics and massive baselines they took us by storm. Another legend, Bunny Wailer will once again enter the main stage in Uppsala, if any rain clouds will be present they will surely scatter by the warmth and love presented by this man.

Gentleman, Alborosie, Abysinnians and more will also been seen. All having done some stunning performances in the past in Uppsala. We will also see a great selection of Swedish acts this year, both old and new.

We suggest you all go there and share your love for the music and culture with all of us, we at ZionGuide will make our best to give you some interesting inside stories and interviews.

One Love throughout whole the World! Rastafari live!

ZionGuide are back from the winter slumber. A year has gone by since the last time and you can finally see all our interviews from 2008 in the Interview section. Lots of good stuff. Luciano, Morgan Heritage, Queen Ifrica and more! Even though the last year have shown more turbulence in the world than in a long time in both political and environmental ways we have also started to see more of an oposite global movement too, a movement of positive vibration and what brings this better together than sweet reggae music? There is still hope and a good chance to turn things around to the better in the world and thats a fact.

So now, it is more important than ever, in high and low places to trod forward with a positive attitude and with a message of love! As usual, this year we will visit Summerjam and Uppsala Reggae Festival. Down in Germany we will be able to see sweet acts like the living legend Bunny Wailer, Anthony B, Freddie McGregor, Tiken Jah Fakoly, Groundation and many many more.

Uppsala Reggae festival are also focusing on the positive side of life with their Life is Great-message and alot of small happenings will occur in this atmosphere during the festival. Third World, Junior Kelly, Inna Yard All Stars (with Cedric Myton), the energetic Lutan Fyah, Etana, Don Carlos and a lot of swedish acts and more international too will perform there.

So please, come and join us, let us all come together and share our love for the music and for life. See you at the festivals!

Jah bless!

Jah Cure, Cecile, Looptroop Rockers, Queen Ifrica and Rebellion!

Greetings and love!
Almost half of 2008 have already passed by and this is and will be a glorious year. From the suburbs of Addis Abeba to the lush regions around the Blue Nile and all the way down to the backyards of Shashamane our brothers and sisters rejoiced and praised the most High as we all took the leap into the new millenium according to the ethiopian calendar. This will be celebrated the whole year and put a bit of extra hope into the everyday struggle.

Here in Europe, the summer equals festivals and Zionguide's festival no.1 is undisputedly SummerJam and I don't think anyone can argue with that it is the very best reggae festival around in Europe. With Alborosie, Cocoa Tea, Luciano and loads of more artists from Jamaica and the rest of the world we are certain that there will be some wonderfull days ahead, don't hesitate to visit the festival. If you have access to the Media Yard, look out for the ZionGuide lion symbol and come have a chat with us, we are more than happy to get your imput, talk reggae music or just life in general!

Summerjam

Another festival that we are happy to talk about (you should know this by now) is Uppsala Reggae Festival in Sweden which also is an amazing event. Thanks to the devoted love to the scene by Yared the festival have been growing to be a very large festival indeed. This year we are looking forward to meet artists like Burning Spear, Morgan Heritage, Lee 'Scratch' Perry and more. If you visit, dont miss the amazing reggae youth Junior Natural from Uppsala. He has the future ahead of him!

Until then we will take joy in the summer sun and the tranquil sound of the birds and the bees blending with the backbeat of some old reggae tunes. Take care and dont forget to share your love with the world!

Rastafari!

Joseph Hill R.I.P.
Unfortunately we have seen another reggae legend pass away, Mr Joseph Hill of Culture. We were most honoured to meet him in Uppsala and you can view one of his last interviews here at ZionGuide.net.
We have also seen the rise of new stars both from Jamaica and other countries so the heritage of J. Hill and the other reggae pioneers will live on for ages to come.

Guidance, respect and blessed love to everyone!
